Our class on Islam topics started the day touring even more mosques than yesterday. We managed to visit the Sokollu Mehmet Pasa Mosque Şehzade complex, the Suleymaniye complex (its mosque closed for restoration), the Mihrimah Mosque, and the Rustempaşa Mosque. We then visited the spice market, which was an important historical trading site long ago. Furthermore, we visited the Chora Museum, followed by the Patriarchate.

By the afternoon, it was obvious that everyone was mentally fatigued and physically exhausted from the long day of crammed activities. Luckily, we were treated to a cruise along the Bosphorous, and it was exactly what we needed. It finally felt nice to just sit down and relax. While we were sailing, we took in the refreshing mist of the water and took in the cooling breeze with open arms. We saw so many palaces and vacation houses on the coast of the Bosphorous; those people were truly living large. The night ended with dinner next to the water, boasting a savory seafood spread. We were all served a very large fish for the main course, and a chef was kind enough to take out all of the bones for me. The meal was a fitting end to a frenzied day.
