There were no scheduled class activities today, so I spent the majority of the morning browsing Rome on my own. Seeing that it was the last weekend, I made sure that I bought gifts for my family/friends back home. Luckily there were a ton of sales during this time of the year and I was able to buy everything I needed on an affordable budget. I even got to practice my haggling skills with a couple of the merchants. I decided to have McDonalds for lunch to compare its chain in Rome. Side note: Big Macs are not as good as they are back in the states.
A potluck/buffet dinner was held in the afternoon. We hosted it in the guy's apartment and invited everyone to contribute to the feast. The food was vast and varied, consisting of pasta, fried rice, caprese, and an advanced sea food dish. Desserts included pie, fruit salad, and watermelon. Overall, it wasn't too much of an exciting day, but it gave us a nice break before the maelstrom. Beginning tomorrow: all nighters consisting of presentation preparations and essays. Finals (Hell) Week is about to begin.
Remains of a potluck. |
